Botanical characteristics: It is a deciduous, climbing, woody, fast growing shrub, it twists counterclockwise. Leaves are uneven, consisting of 7-13 oval pointed leaflets, with entire margins with nice bright green, yellow in autumn. It has a beautiful blue-purple bloom with flowers, hanging in bunches, up to 30 cm. in late April-early May, before the leaves. It often flowering in summer, followed by green and velvety fruits similar to pods.
Agronomic and environmental characteristics: It adapts to all soils, does not want to too compact soil.
Use: It is the typical climbing in English gardens, or romantic gardens. It is very popular in gardens for its beautiful and romantic bloom. It is used on trellises, for covering walls, fences, if planted at the base of a tree it comes to cover it.
