Botanical characteristics: It is a cultivar with upright branches, which are very close to the trunk. It has a fastigiate growth habit.
Agronomic and environmental characteristics: It prefers cool, deep and permeable soils but has no particular requirements. It is suitable for dry soils, too. It must be placed in full sun. It is a pioneer plant that colonizes pebbly banks. Its degree of resistance to water stagnation, saltiness and urban pollution is high.
Use: It works as windbreak in coastal areas. It is used along streets, avenues and river banks.
