Botanical characteristics: It is a much-branched, deciduous shrub that grows slowly. It is large, compact, round and can reach 5 mt in height. It has winter buds covered by grey down and a spectacular and abundant bloom in March and April, whose star-shaped flowers are pure white, slightly fragrant and preempt the leaves. The obovate leaves are pale green, darker in summer and yellow in autumn.
Agronomic and environmental characteristics: It prefers deep, fertile and fresh soils from acid to neutral.
Use: It is used as a specimen plant in the middle of the lawn or associated with lower shrubs in flowerbeds. It is ideal for small-sized gardens. It is suitable for planters, too.
