Origin: Europe, western Asia.
Botanical characteristics: It is a climbing deciduous shrub that is moody and woody. Its flowers are tubular with double lips, cream-white or yellow, tinged with pink and very fragrant. They bloom in summer and are disposed to the top, on the whorl of the leaves followed by orange-red berries. The leaves are opposite with very short or absent petiole, while the highest ones are combined, grey-green, from oval to obovate.
Agronomic and environmental characteristics: It grows spontaneously in the deciduous woodlands, thickets and hedges. It adapts to any well-drained soil in sun or partial shade.
Use: It is used as climbing plant on walls or trees.
