Botanical characteristics: It is a smaller cultivar compared to the species, with strictly pyramidal crown and deeply lobed leaves that in autumn turn purple and then orange-yellow.

Agronomic and environmental characteristics: It prefers cool soils, slightly acid but it can also adapt to slightly calcareous and poorly-drained soils. It is highly resistant to saltiness and air pollution.

Use: It is used in parks and gardens as a single plant or in groups or in combination with other trees that in autumn are coloured. It is a very interesting plant for the urban green space, especially for avenues.
