Caratteristiche botaniche: Il Ligustrum ovalifolium è un arbusto semipersistente, denso ed eretto, vigoroso. Foglie ellittico-ovali verde intenso, lunghe fino a 6 cm. Fiori bianchi e profumati in fitte pannocchie lunghe fino a 10 cm. a metà estate. Bacche sferiche nere e lucenti.
Caratteristiche agronomico-ambientali: Il Ligustrum ovalifolium è una pianta coltivata molto diffusa, che tende a inselvatichire. Si adatta a tutti i terreni ben drenati anche calcarei. Preferibilmente in pieno sole.
Utilizzo: Il Ligustrum ovalifolium è indicato per siepi potate, soprattutto lungo le strade.
