Botanical characteristics: It is a resembled Cupressus sempervirens cultivar “Piramidalis” but with a more compact, slower growth, green foliage of a most brilliant colour, rarely fruiting.
Agronomic and environmental characteristics: It is originally from the East, it was introduced in Italy in ancient times, very common and popular it is going to be a typical element of the Mediterranean landscape especially in the hills of Tuscany and Umbria. It fits any well-drained soil, poor soils and dry, both clay and calcareous soils. Good resistance to marine climate.
Use: It is used singly or in groups in parks and gardens, tree-lined streets, screens windbreaks, reforestation in Mediterranean areas. It is suitable for small spaces.
