Origin: Japan.

Botanical characteristics: It is a small compact evergreen shrub, but with an erect growth habit. It has got dark green leaves, which are strictly oblong, thin and up to 2 cm long.

Agronomic and environmental characteristics: It prefers fertile and drained soils. in case of strong cold, it doesn’t turn red as the common Buxus does, but it keeps the dark green foliage.

Use: It withstands repeated pruning. It is mostly used for topiaries and formal hedges in pot.
