Botanical characteristics: It is hybrid between A. hippocastanum and A. Pavia. Smaller than the common species. Cultivated in Europe as an ornamental plant. Beautiful bloom in May of rose-red flowers in inflorescences on erect panicles 15-20cm high. Fruits are smaller than those of A. hippocastanum and less aculeate. Leaves are dark green, and composed of 5-7 smaller leaves.
Use: It is mainly used as a shade tree in parks and boulevards. It is very interesting to use in gardens as a single plant.
