Botanical characteristics: grafted Acer palmatum with seven-lobed leaves up to 6-10cm long. In spring they are bright red and turn dark red in autumn. (They don’t get burnt)
Agronomic-environmental characteristics: The Japanese maples need particular kinds of soil. It should be fresh, loose, moist but well-drained and slightly acidic. On the contrary it should not be heavy, chalky or with stagnant water. It is a plant that lives better in a partial shade and when it is sheltered from strong winds. They are sensitive to frost.
