Origin: Caucasian, Himalayan and Chinese regions
Botanical characteristics: It is a medium size fast-growing tree which grows up to 20 m high.
Leaves are bright green and lobed (5-7). In autumn they turn yellow-gold. The efflorescences are erect umbrellas of yellow flowers, followed by samaras with very opened wings.
Use: It is cultivated as ornamental plant for parks and gardens. In Europe it is used in urban boulevards.
