Origin: Japan

Botanical characteristics: It is a small tree up to 10 m high, with extended curved branches. The ovate leaves have three sharp bright green lobes which in autumn turn orange-red. In May there are pendulous inflorescences of white flowers.

Use: It is used as ornamental plant both for its growth habit and the bark, which is green and white streaked, because it is very decorative. It is used in parks and as single plant in small gardens.
